The Energy Trap

It's not a secret that levels of depression, addiction, and suicide are higher than usual. It often seems that these mental crises occur when people are at the peaks of their lives; when they seem untouchable.

Disappointment is always a leader. People are working harder than ever to get everything they could have ever imagined, in a world that seems more complicated than ever before. But even with success, people still struggle to overcome their demons.

Why are so many of us stuck?

It's simple, really. It all goes back to the energy trap.

The energy trap is the result of all of the negative components floating around inside your mind. They can often go back as far as your childhood. Maybe you were bullied growing up, you had a tough breakup, or you lost someone you loved and couldn't quite overcome the pain.

You may have neglected these traumatizing experiences since your earliest years and; no matter how successful you may be now, that negative energy takes up too much space for you to be fully content with your life.

When I spoke with Alex Rodriguez in 2015 after he was suspended for all of the previous season, he described how he was in a bad place and needed to seek out others to put his negative energy to rest.

On Tuesday night, I went to see my favorite band; Imagine Dragons, perform at Madison Square Garden. One of the best songs they've ever released is "Demons".

The song was written about people acknowledging their insecurities and learning how to overcome them. The subject of the song is in a relationship with someone they feel they don't deserve, due to his/her flaws.

Lead singer Dan Reynolds admitted that he suffered from severe depression while on tour, after battling it on and off throughout his life. It wasn't until about a year ago that he sought out therapy, and learned healthier coping skills like yoga, diet change, and meditation.

In case you're unfamiliar with the song, this is the chorus:

"When you feel my heat, look into my eyes,

It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide

Don't get too close, it's dark inside,

It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide"

So how do we escape the energy trap? "Demons" continues by saying "I can't escape this now, unless you show me how". Seeking help is a huge first step to defeating your demons. Ask your employer or spouse for a helping hand.

Know that what you're going through is not uncommon. You're not a mistake. You simply just need to escape the energy trap.

  • While I have a great deal of respect for you Brandon, you are seeing this issue ONLY from the mind of a very financially well off person and others in similar positions. Your financial position is a VAST MINORITY.

Now for the opinion from the vast majority. I worked by butt off my entire working life (16-years), but cared more for helping others than getting rich at all.
The USA had me believe that if I did the right thing my entire life, there would be help in place for me if I ever needed it. This was the case mainly thanks to President FDR (only because he was disabled himself).

In 2008, USELESS Obama became President & he did nothing helpful for the majority of hard working Americans for 8-years! Hospitals immediately started making budget cuts to prepare for the incoming Obamacare the day Obama became President, but almost no one saw it unless you were very insightful and worked in hospitals, or were seen as a patient in hospitals weekly for years (like I was as BOTH).
Obama BROKE the entire medical field (starting with the biggest, most populated & under hospitalized cities), yet helped as many useless criminal immigrants as he could and in general BROKE OUR WHOLE COUNTRY!

How do I know? I got very physically disabled in late 2001 after 16-years in a row of Interpreting Complex EKG/Pacemaker Rhythms & RN/MD Trainer (a position I created for myself which my bosses all loved because they never paid me to do it!).
I saved countless lives that otherwise would not have been; and I LOVED MY work which I still miss every day since doctors told me I had to stop working in 2002.

So after spending and selling everything I had to pay medical bills, I went to FL HRA for help. I was told “You are white, have no children and you think FL will help you?” Then he laughed out loud and said “Go back to NY, they’ll help you.”.

That was true until 2011 when they just took away my Straight Medicaid for a LAME excuse. That ended my ability to use Ambullettes to travel to doctors and forced me to use NYC Mass Transit’s (MTA) Access-A-Ride which was/is AWFUL and stopped me from being able to see a psychologist (they ONLY accept Medicaid???).

Then in 2015, they took away my Medicare Savings Program- run by Medicaid? (due to Adult Protective Services & Medicaid’s GROSS NEGLIGENCE which took 33-months of MY fighting to get back) but they refused to give me my over $2,500 of my back pay back even though a Judge ordered it?).

You see Medicaid in NYC takes full advantage of the HOMEBOUND elderly & disabled who they know have no one helping them. Our AWFUL Mayor Di BOZO and Governor Cuomo are pocketing most of the money they are saving from the least of their citizens which is the CRUELEST thing any country could do.
NOT IN THE UNITED STATES, RIGHT? PLEASE WAKE UP!!!

This has been going on affecting TENS OF THOUSANDS OF NYC residents (many of them just dying) for over 7-years now! But since we are too old or too sick to protest, or make enough noise to get enough attention; we are THE FORGOTTEN New Yorkers!

Since I only made $1,175 a month in Soc. Sec. Disability (until I lost my MSP and it went down to $1,070) as my only income I struggled every month and still do.
Since I have no family, and no friends who would help me; I have to buy everything I need online (which became far more expensive than shopping in stores by 2014) and had it delivered to my tiny basement apartment (with no heat) in my mentally ill/gambling addict mother’s house who charged me $400 a month as “your part of the bills”. In other words it was more money for her to gamble away.

I donated over 3-Million total sports card & autographs to hospitalized children every year from 1989-2015 (even when I was VERY SICK) because I refused to make any profit from these hobbies.
Plus I am the only person who fought as much fraud as I did only FOR FREE from 1991-present in sports cards and 1999-present in autograph forgery sales. I never did any of it for publicity and most don’t even know I ever did it. Only every card company executive and Price Guide writer from 1997-2004 knows exactly who I am when I had my own website with the full stories (from every side) of all the fraud I STOPPED.

I’ve never “been stuck” but the United States stuck me in the back with a knife and twisted.
