A lot of people can misinterpret having too much “swagger” as being conceited, or full of themselves.
The truth of the matter is having swagger is a necessity to success.
The important thing is to never cross that line into portraying yourself as cocky, but also you don’t want to come off as timid and modest on a regular basis.
This is where "swagger" falls: Swagger is North of confidence and South of arrogance; as my friend Joe Plumeri often says.
"Too little confidence, and you’re unable to act; too much confidence, and you’re unable to hear.” - John Maeda
Don’t feel the need to always act in a humble matter. Having swagger will set you apart from the rest. Never forget that there is always someone coming up from behind that you may not expect, so always be prepared to show off what makes you special.
Quote of the Day: “I'm a very modest person. But I'm also extremely confident. And if you put me in the situation or in the moment, I'm gonna have some swagger, I'm gonna have some cockiness." - Drew Brees
