Your physical health is paramount to proper mental health, and vice versa. This is something I have lived by for a long time. Over the years I have had the chance to get to know some of the most brilliant minds in both mental and physical wellness. One of those people is Dana Cavalea, the former Strength and Conditioning Coach with the New York Yankees, who has treated basically every Yankees player that was on the team for the first decade this century.
Dana is a complete master. When I have aches and pains, I go to Dana. When I want to increase my strength in a certain area, I go to Dana.
These days, Dana has ventured out into the world of mental and physical coaching, in addition to owning top a top of the line New York-based gym network called ML Strength. Dana recently launched a new blog at danacavalea.com where he gives frequent tips towards sustained mental and physical success. The post below already has me LOVING the reads and I suggest you carve out a few minutes each day to dive into what he has to offer.
Here's one of my favorite posts of his so far where he talks about working less and achieving more, just like the pros.
