The Best Books I Read In 2018!

With the year coming to a close, I decided to compile a list of some of my favorite books that will get you on the right track and take you further in both your business and your personal life. I highly encourage you to check these out and support the great people who contributed to them.

1 - Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive by Harvey Mackay

Don't read this book. Study it! Harvey Mackay is one of my absolute favorites, and this book is the handbook you need to follow in order to find success in your life.

2 - Basketball: A Love Story by Jackie MacMullan, Dan Klores & Rafe Bartholomew

This book; inspired by the ESPN film series of the same name directed by Klores, is the perfect gift for any hoop fan. Basketball fans won't like this book... they will love it!

I spoke with Dan on Project X about the Basketball projects last month.

3 - The Power of a Positive Team: Proven Principles and Practices that Make Great Teams Great by Jon Gordon

A book for teams about teams, to help teams become more positive united, and connected. If you're a coach, manager, etc., this is the perfect book to get your new year going and help your team grow and prosper as soon as possible!

For more information, check out my Project X interview with Jon.

4 - The Score Takes Care Of Itself: My Philosophy of Leadership by Bill Walsh (with Steve Jamison and Craig Walsh)

This is a great book about changing a losing situation into a winning situation from the bottom up.

5 - Confessions of a Serial Salesman: 27 Rules for Influencers and Leaders that will change your life and business by Steve Nudelberg

A simple, easy book on selling that every person looking to learn how to sell more or sell better should read.

I interviewed Steve on Project X earlier this year.

6 - Giftology: The Art and Science of Using Gifts to Cut Through the Noise, Increase Referrals, and Strengthen Client Retention by John Ruhlin

An interesting read about the art of gifting to help grow your business.

Learn more from my interview with John.

7 - Habits Of A Champion by Dana Cavalea

Want to get back in shape? This book can be the initiator.

If you need proof that Dana is the real deal, watch this video.

8 - The Conscious Parent: Transforming Ourselves, Empowering Our Children by Dr. Shefali Tsabary

Simply put: a must read for any parent.

9 - The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael Singer

Another must-read if you want to grow as a person and understand how your relationship with your own thoughts works.

10 - Get Your Sh*t Together: How You Should Stop Worrying About What You Should Do So You Can Finish What You Need to Do and Start Doing What You Want to Do by Sarah Knight

A simple book to help you realize what's important and cut out the bullshit.

11 - Brainwashed: The Bad Science Behind CTE and the Plot To Destroy Football by Merril Hoge

I'm not going to take a position here. I thought for sure that football is incredibly dangerous. Merril makes a very compelling argument against the studies we've seen about the relationship between CTE and the NFL. Is CTE a plot to destroy football?

Merril was one of my favorite Project X guests of the year. Check it out.

12 - High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way by Brendon Burchard

Ever wonder how extraordinary people got to be that way? Definitely read this.

13 - How To Stop Worrying And Start Living by Dale Carnegie

An oldie but goodie. One of my favorite books. If you constantly worrying, you can't pick this book up fast enough.

14 - Scrappy: A Little Book About Choosing To Play Big by Terri Sjodin

A book about how to not wait for things to happen but instead make things happen.

15 - Living With The Monks: What Turning Off My Phone Taught Me about Happiness, Gratitude, and Focus by Jesse Itzler

Jesse nails another great story about getting out of his comfort zone. This time, he lived in a monastery. It's a fun and inspiring read.

Click this link to watch my interview with Jesse about Monks.

Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention my latest book Living On Purpose; which debuted as an Amazon best-seller last week! If you're looking to reset, reenergize, and find more happiness in your life, please do yourselves a favor and check it out.

  • Hello, my name is Rachel Frye and I want to give this testimony in respect of Dr. Odunga who made me win $2 Million Dollars in the Lottery by matching the 5 numbers for me. I am happy to be out of financial debt and be able to help my family in this seasonal period of fun and cheer. I contacted Dr. Odunga through Whats-App (+2348167159012) when I told him to help me win the Mega Millions and He told me that it would be spiritually checked if I will win the Lottery. When he informed me that I will not be able to win the Jackpot but I will win a huge amount in the lottery I was not completely sad but had great faith in him. I live in Freeland, Saginaw County, Michigan and I would say it was pretty hard to send him the money for the spell before he gave me the winning numbers to play. He sent me the numbers and I played. The next morning after the drawing, I matched the five white balls in the Aug. 4 drawing to win $1 million: 11-30-45-52-56. Thanks to the Megaplier X2, my prize was multiplied to $2 million. Thank You Dr Odunga for this wonderful experience with you. You too can contact Dr. Odunga at his Whats-App +2348167159012 or Email: odungaspelltemple@gmail.com
