It always bothers me when people say "I can't believe this is happening to me."
If we're being honest here, most things that happen in your life happen for you, not to you.
You don't want to wake up in the morning every day wishing you were someone else. If you believe in a God, I don't think he or she would choose for some to suffer more than others.
Everyone has trials and tribulations and faces all different kinds of good and bad. There's always someone doing better than you and someone doing worse, so stop your bitching.
Stop looking for the answers. The answer is you. I don't wake up and wish Steiner Sports was someone else's company. I firmly believe that everyone has a talent, and it's up to each person to discover that talent and use it to make the world a better and brighter place.
I watched the movie "A Star Is Born" recently, and I've had these few lines said by the main character Jack stuck in my head ever since:
"Look, talent comes everywhere. Everybody's talented, everyone in this bar is talented at one thing or another.... and unless you get out and you try to do it, you'll never know. That's just the truth."
Many of us create a self-fulfilling prophecy that hinders us from achieving our full potential or even having the ability to achieve our own potential. Truth is, it takes more than having a knack for something in order to get you where you want to go.
Stop thinking about how good you are now, it's a waste of your time. Instead, think about how good you can be.
