Rock Bottom Is Where You Want To Be

“Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.”
- J.K. Rowling

People tend to view their lowest moments in their lives as negatives, which is completely understandable because who likes to have stress in their lives? So once you reach what you believe to be your lowest point, that’s when you’ll say you’ve hit rock bottom. But you’re wrong, because rock bottom is actually your highest point.

Let me explain (trust me on this). Once you reach the absolute lowest of lows, the only place left to look is up. Every opportunity is ahead of you and nothing is out of the realm of possibility. You have the chance to re-invent yourself; who you want to be, where you want to go, and what you will make of your life. Nothing can stop you because you already have experienced what it’s like to lose it all and now the only option left is to gain it all back and much more.

Rock bottom is the foundation of success. Without the bottom layer, you are bound to crumble. The lows and dark times of your life are what create the great moments later. Once you reach rock bottom embrace it because if you don’t, you’ll never reach the top again.

In life you are given two options: you can either give up or move forward. In the end the choice is up to you, so what I ask is why would you let the rocks hold you down, when you have the opportunity to cause an avalanche?
