There’s a reason why Bob Knight is one of the greatest managers of all-time. He always had a complete understanding about what his teams were capable of. In order to succeed in business as a manager, you need the same understanding.
If you know what you can do, that’s great because you can coach to your strengths. But, if you know what you can’t do, you can coach around and improve on your weaknesses. If you know that your team doesn’t do something very well, then you know exactly where you need help.
How do you find out what you can’t do? Never hesitate to ask questions.
Brilliant.
