Pat Quinn's Battle with ALS

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis- ALS. If you mention that in the last two years, the first thing you probably think about is the Ice Bucket Challenge…a viral Internet sensation that helped support over $200 million in new funding for ALS research, which one day will hopefully rid the world of this devastating disease that affects 35,000 Americans.

I had the distinct honor and privilege to interview one of the men who helped lead the charge of the Ice Bucket Challenge, Pat Quinn, an ALS patient himself and advocate for raising awareness about the disease. ALS is devastating. It physically deteriorates the body and has taken far too many lives. Pat is a fighter and he’s determined to put an end to it.

With tonight being the 20th Annual Lou Gehrig Sports Awards Benefit, and with Pat being a guy right from Yonkers, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch our talk below. Most importantly, I hope that in the spirit of the Ice Bucket Challenge, you'll nominate three people to watch with you!
