The saga surrounding him is well known, of course, as he was banned from baseball for betting on the game.
A story broke this year revealing that there is evidence Pete bet on baseball as a player in addition to as a manager, which has reignited the debate on his candidacy for reinstatement and possible election to the Hall of Fame.
My question to you is this: should all be forgiven? It’s amazing to think that there is a whole generation of baseball fans that knows Pete Rose only as the guy that bet on baseball, not the all-time hit king, Charlie Hustle.
