We should always make it a point to take a few moments to reflect on the things we are most thankful for, but especially at this time of year. So, this is my “Thanksgiving” blog and the three things I am most thankful for this year.
Health and Happiness for My Family
The well being of my family without a doubt is, and always will be, my number one concern.
I talked earlier this year about being grateful for all the things you don’t have. While I am okay now, I had a scare with a back surgery and that got me thinking about how important it is to eat right and exercise and also how important it is to be happy both physically and mentally.
A Better Economy
You know, it wasn’t too long ago where there was a recession in this country. Seeing that, I’m definitely thankful for all of the things I have in my life.
Things are better financially in the U.S., but 45 million people are stuck below the poverty line (and one out of every five kids). So, we can take this time of year not just to reflect, but also about how we can establish change.
“It you want to change your life, change your intention”
We’re not quite there yet, but things are on the up. If everyone goes a little more out of the way to help those in need, we can get those numbers down.
People Collecting Sports Stuff
When you come up with an idea, you just hope that people like it. It’s great that people have such a great interest in buying sports memorabilia and I am grateful that so many of them choose Steiner Sports for their purchases. It’s very fulfilling to me that Steiner Sports has become a part of the sports fan experience in remembering the moments that make sports so special. Its truly a blessing that people choose Steiner Sports as often as they do.
With that, an honorable mention has to be that I am thankful for Derek Jeter. After being with him every step along the way throughout his historic career, his retirement has led to the best year in the company’s history.
