In a recent TED Talk, Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love said, "You’ve got to love what you do more than you love yourself!"
I couldn’t stop thinking about that today.
When it comes to my business, I’ve always loved the idea of helping to preserve an athlete’s greatness; his moments; his legacy and being able to pass that along to fans. The video was a good reminder to me that everyone has the ability to go pro because too often we associate the word "pro" just with sports. Whether or not you get there is dictated by your commitment to your profession.
What's that saying from those NCAA commercials? There are over 400,000 NCAA student-athletes and just about all of them will be going pro in something other than sports.
Love what you do more than you love yourself.
