It’s crazy to think that Hammerin’ Hank Aaron is 80 years old today. It makes me think back to when I was a kid seeing him break the Home Run Record and rack up accolades like no one had before. He was one of the premier players of his time and will go down in history as one of the greatest baseball players in history.
A few years ago I had the chance to sit down with Hank to talk about all things baseball. We covered everything from his favorite moments, the best pitchers he’s ever faced, what it was like playing in the segregated South and the Negro Leagues, his take on stars like Derek Jeter and Alfonso Soriano and his thoughts on New York baseball.
