Your boss is not pointing out things you aren't doing, or things you could do better, or things you did wrong just to make you mad.
Your boss is not riding you to get you down. Or to make you look stupid.
He's not saying you're lazy or inferior.
He's not trying to get you to quit.
He's not talking just to hear his own voice.
He's not pushing you because he's bored.
He's not pushing your buttons to see what sounds come out.
Hey - if your boss is doing any of these things, chances are -
He or she is telling you these things to make you better.
Isn't that what you want in an employer?
Isn't that what you want in a boss - someone who's making sure you're growing and getting better EVERY DAY?
Maya Angelou says, "When you know better, you do better."
You're your boss's investment. He wants nothing more than that investment to increase in value.
Keep that in mind next time you think he has ulterior motives.
