Together as teammates on the New York Mets in the 1980's, Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry were two of the most electrifying players to ever walk on a baseball field. They won a World Series together in 1986, but drugs and other demons derailed their careers and at separate points in their lives, they were both in a jail cell rather than on a baseball diamond.
Their careers always associated with each other and intertwined, Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry would both spend time with the cross-town rival New York Yankees and bring home World Series championships again (Gooden - 1996, 2000 and Strawberry - 1996, '98, '99).
With their baseball careers now behind them, Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry sat down together for a Q&A hosted by Brandon Steiner at Yankee Stadium to discuss their greatest accomplishments, falls from grace, ultimate recoveries and the fulfilled lives they now each live.
