Victor Cruz Signs Memorabilia Deal With Steiner Sports

It’s been quite a year for Victor Cruz. At the beginning of the 2011 season, the second-year receiver was so low on the Giants’ depth chart that most New Yorkers had never heard of him. By the end of the season, Cruz quickly became Eli Manning’s favorite target, set a Giants record for receiving yards, and emerged as one of the most explosive offensive weapons in the NFL. He also became a father when his girlfriend gave birth to their daughter, Kennedy, and his trademark end zone salsa dances even earned him an invitation to compete on Dancing With the Stars.

To cap it all off, Cruz is a Super Bowl champion. Not bad for six months in the life of a 25-year-old who went undrafted out of UMass only two years ago.

“Cruz has the type of unique personality that New Yorkers flock to,” said Brandon Steiner, CEO of Steiner Sports. “His story perfectly complements his electric play.”

Added Cruz, “I’m excited to be a part of such a prestigious memorabilia company, it’s a dream come true. I look forward to all of the things that we have planned in the upcoming year.”

The exclusive Cruz collection will include autographed photos, helmets and footballs, among other items, and has already become a top-seller on the company’s website, Steinersports.com. In signing exclusively with Steiner Sports, Cruz joins Eli Manning, Derek Jeter, and Mariano Rivera, among others.
