Fans Can Buy, Bid on Stadium Memorabilia

As we inch closer to the opening of the new Jets' home, you have an opportunity to grab a piece of Jets history at steinersports.com and jetsshop.com.

"There are a couple of components," said Chris Pierce, the Green & White's senior director of merchandise. "Fans can view some items that are direct sales, including collages featuring turf used in the final season at the Meadowlands with a panoramic picture of the old stadium on gameday. We have pieces of the old goalposts, and seats are also being sold in pairs (with the small caveat that you won't be able to request specific seats or location of seats)."

For one-of-a-kind Jets Meadowlands memorabilia, Pierce advises you to log onto for the chance to bid on a number of products, including the retired jerseys on the wall wrap, specific player lockers (yes you can be your own version of the "Hitman" while you put on your business suit in David Harris' locker!) and Rex Ryan's podium, used for postgame news conferences. If you have an important phonecall to make, you can punch the keys on the same phone Rex used on gameday this past season.

"Our partnership provides a unique opportunity for fans to own authentic pieces of the Jets' past and future, from authentic pieces of the locker room and stadium," said Brandon Steiner, CEO of Steiner Sports Marketing. "We've been looking forward to this for a long time."

There are various signs down at ground level that most fans have never seen but might want to display in their own home.

"They are really unique, whether it's the sign or the 'Training Room' or 'Equipment Room' signs," Pierce said. "Then there's the 'Play Like a Jet' sign that you may have seen on television and the 'WIN' sign that the players would touch on their way out of the locker room door, so those are really cool."

Since entering the sports business in 1987, Steiner has established itself as a leading provider of authentic memorabilia. Just like jetsshop.com, steinersports.com is open 24 hours a day and currently has close to 200 items if you shop by team and click Jets. Or people can go directly to the auction items by clicking here.

"I'm extremely proud and excited about this partnership with the Jets," said Steiner. "Gang Green has been a staple of football for nearly 50 years, and their recent run at the Super Bowl showed the energy and character of Jets fans everywhere."

"In the auction environment, we partnered with Steiner because they're really one of the leading memorabilia companies in our marketplace. They've helped other teams do this," said Pierce. "This is their area of expertise, so partnering with them has been great because they're very creative in terms of the products, they know the marketplace and they have a built-in network of collectors that look to them first to try and access this stuff. So the marriage is great because we have this hardcore audience of avid Jets fans and we have a hardcore audience of memorabilia collectors."
