The Sass Foundation and WAR will be the co-beneficiaries of the proceeds in this first ever auction. Specially created photographs, balls and other items will include the breast cancer awareness pink ribbon and is being autographed exclusively for this event. The auction will start in October of 2006.

Women At Risk's high-risk program is a research, education, and treatment program for women who are at high risk for the development of breast cancer. The program was founded in 1991 by a grass roots partnership of physicians and patient/volunteers who recognized that high-risk women would stand to benefit most from interventions aimed at early diagnosis, and prevention, of breast cancer. The mission of Woman at Risk (WAR) is to enhance the lives of women who are at high risk for the development of breast cancer and women with breast cancer through research, education and support. The Sass Foundation has chosen to confront the two biggest challenges in medicine - the patient must never be forgotten and that even with today's government constraints and high health costs, vital research must be funded and carried out. The Sass Foundation will continue to promote a better understanding of cancer and related life threatening diseases to educate physicians and the public about the latest therapies and newest treatments available, and to fund research projects to combat these diseases.
