Some people watch things happen. Some people wait for things to happen. Some people say, "What happened?"
If I waited for things to happen, there would be no Steiner Sports.
A big problem today that I see is people just think things are going to happen for them, and that is simply not true.
You get things by going out and getting them yourself, that's how you get what you want.
I remember when I started out, I would wait for athletes after practices and games in the parking lot! I knew it would be a way to get their attention, and you know what, it worked.
One story I think of when thinking about getting things to happen yourself is how Rudy Ruettiger got the film Rudy made.
A couple of years ago we sat down together, and I realized that this unbelievable story of making the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was just one of the many battles he has had to face.
Believing is the key. Rudy himself say's once you have ambition, nothing can stop you.
Embrace your inner Rudy, and realize that you have to stop waiting for things to happen, and start making things happen for themselves.
Movie Line of the Day: "You're 5 foot nothin', 100 and nothin', and you have barely a speck of athletic ability. And you hung in there with the best college football players in the land for 2 years. And you're gonna walk outta here with a degree from the University of Notre Dame. In this life, you don't have to prove nothin' to nobody but yourself. And after what you've gone through, if you haven't done that by now, it ain't gonna never happen. Now go on back." --Fortune, Rudy
